Portland-composite cement
Universal cement for all concrete works that require high end strengths with normal run-up and higher load capacity of the structure. Ideal cement for the production of ready-mixed concrete. The lower development of heat of hydration predetermines it also for concreting in warm weather.
Characteristics
CEM II/B-M (S-LL) 42.5 N is a cement made by finely grinding Portland clinker, gypsum and limestone with blast furnace granulated slag (21-35% according to EN 197-1). It achieves a 2-day strength in the range from 19 to 23 MPa and a normalized 28-day strength of 48 to 53 MPa.
Usage
- concrete of even higher strength classes
- monolithic and massive concrete structures
- sprayed concrete
- concrete products
- underlying concrete and cement screeds
Advantages
- very good workability and volume stability
- very good pumpability of concrete
- moderately rapid increase in strength
- moderately high hydration heat
- high end strengths
